A well-established and growing property development and investment company is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join its finance team in Cape Town.
The successful candidate will be a technically strong accountant with solid experience in property development, property investment, construction or project accounting, together with extensive practical experience using Sage 300.
The role requires a hands-on professional who understands the financial lifecycle of property development, from acquisition and development through construction, completion and ongoing property operations.
Key Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- 6–8 years’ relevant accounting experience
- Proven experience at Senior Accountant level
- Strong experience in property development, property investment, construction or a related industry – essential
- Extensive hands-on experience with Sage 300 Accounting – essential
- Experience working with multiple entities, projects, cost centres and/or property developments – advantageous
- Experience in project accounting and development-related expenditure – highly advantageous
- Sage 300 implementation, system builds, configuration or customisation experience – advantageous
- Professional accounting qualification or progress towards one – advantageous

- VAT and statutory accounting
- Cash flow management and banking
- Budgeting and monitoring of project expenditure
- Financial controls and reconciliations
- Sage 300 accounting and system management
