Freight Controllers – Cape Town

We are looking for two experienced Freight Controllers to join our logistics team in Cape Town.
The successful candidates will have practical experience within the freight, shipping or logistics environment and will be responsible for coordinating freight activities while maintaining effective communication with clients, shipping lines and service providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and coordinating freight activities
- Liaising with shipping lines and relevant service providers
- Handling and responding to client requests
- Ensuring the correct freight and shipping documentation is prepared
- Preparing invoices and sending pro forma invoices
- Obtaining and negotiating freight rates
- General administration and ad hoc duties as required
- Maintaining accurate records and providing timely updates to clients
Minimum Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in shipping, freight forwarding or a related logistics environment
- Good understanding of freight processes and documentation
- Strong communication and administrative skills
- Computer literacy
- Ability to work accurately under pressure
